It wouldn’t, because the MSM would be told of the scheme and trumpet it loudly as proof that conservatism has to create “astroturf” to cover the “fact” that it has no grass roots. Just as, e.g., yesterday’s 10,000 in Times Square to protest the Iran deal will receive less air time from the MSM than 10 protestors of Donald Trump.
How do you know they don’t?.......................
What would the response be if/when it was discovered that all the posters were fake? Liberals can get away with it, conservatives can’t.
Why not? Because it is very likely not strictly legal.
I know I may sound naive, but I think deceit and fraudulent practices are the specialty of liberals. Conservatives lean more toward honesty, at least that’s what I find.
Do you really believe winning by any means, legal or illegal, is worth it?
I do not.
I have to be able to look in the mirror with my value system still intact.
Would we want to play the game with liberal methods like lying, deceit and phony numbers?
It is a powerful tool. Astroturfing. Takes a bit of hardware, so as to make communications appear to come from different places (if the communications is via computer network); but some of that hardware is generally available to the public anyway. Snail mail can be used the same way, “personalized mass mailing,” but in reverse with the recipient being the same person, and the sender creating what looks like different authors. “Mail merge” function in your word processor.
Why? Because we have real jobs.
Fraud is “their thing”.
Stand on truth or don’t stand at all.
It’s mainly designed to work on mindless idiots that don’t think for themselves and jump on the latest bandwagon that’s passing by.
Phony group think, while it has some success, doesn’t have a lot of success with the thinking class because someone will point out the flaw in the thinking.
Many/most Facebook and Twitter pages that deal with politics, celebrities, and commercial products are fake. This has long been known. Who knows how many Free Republic posters are fake?
The Left has been doing this, organized from above, since at least 2012: the Cyber-Warriors for Obama Project had guidance from the DNC, and funding from OFA.
But in their case, it was more than just astro-turfing: their little dweebs were told to try and match screen names with real names and addresses for individual targeting.
Liberals have several huge advantages when it comes to this sort of dishonesty. First, they have no morals, so they are never restrained by the qualms that would keep decent people from lying. Second, they are parasites, so each of them happily lives on welfare while pretending to be hundreds of people online. In contrast, conservatives prefer to work productively for a living.
You think "our side" isn't doing the same thing? Let me remind you of the 30,000 people who cut up their Macy's credit cards last week. Was this actually 30,000 people or a few individuals astroturfing Macy's? I'm inclined to believe that it was real. There are real credit card accounts behind those letters.

Why do want to be fake?
Why would you think that would ultimately lead to success and what type of success would that be?
Winning just to win is far different than winning to make a difference.
Is this why so many liberal-pleasing hashtags rise to the top at Twitter lately?
