Maybe if so much highway funding was not used to add bike lanes and other underfunded mass transit schema, we could use the collected gas taxes to fix the roads instead.

According to a 2013 analysis by the Heritage Foundation, at least 20% of gas-tax revenues in recent years went toward other programs, from light rail to bike lanes to landscaping projects. Some funds even went toward establishing transportation museums.
But I thought the 2009 trillion dollar ‘stimulus’ went to fixing roads and bridges!!! /s
Could have sworn the some 800 billion for “shovel ready” jobs were for highways and bridges, amongst other infrastructure. Of course, now they want more. BTW, what was that wholly owned Democrat legislation called?
