I think I will try to be cast as an extra in this one.
Would they be open to a white guy in Levar Burton’s role?
Yet it’s OK to have a black guy as Bond and the left sees no hypocrisy...
They have a part for Rachel Dolezal?
I am so there.
Al Sharpton will be Punta Punta and Obama one line in entire series will be PRESENT
I actually liked “Roots,” but, LeVarr Burton didn’t play “Toby.” It was John Amos. Toby was Kunta Kinta’s American name. LeVarr played Chicken George.
Just in time for 2016.I wonder who’ll be playing The Gentle Giant.
Are you going to be one of those mean overseers?
Will there be a transgendered hero, whether white or black, master or servant?
Way back when Roots did not stir up racial animosity.
I bet the remake will and will be trying to.
think they'll go for it ?
but jenner's a hero ... right ?
The rented first daughters
will be available...
Maybe that white woman in Seattle, Rachel Dolezal, the one who was in charge of the NAACP up there, will get a role....
In the interests of diversity I want Kunta Kinte to be played by Margaret Cho.
(-:
Will the have the guts to cut out all the parts that Alex Haley just invented?
Thank you MLB, NFL Network, and the SEC channels. The first version was OK until we found out it was pure fiction. I’m sure that the new version will end in a conflagration in Ferguson, MO. with Mr/Ms/Whoever Jenner rescuing all of the darkies from the evil White racist policemen. Al Sharpton will have a cameo role, of course.
o. j. simpson to reprise his role in the original roots. i remember he had a cameo role sprinting through the jungle.
O.J. Simpson will not be available. What a shame.
Shouldn't that be "based on Harold Courlander's and Alex Haley's novel "Roots: The Saga of an American Family"?
In this new era of lies and deceptions, they can really fudge the script and not worry about Alex Haley’s plagiarism.
They could even let Doris Kearns Goodwin write part of the script. She is pretty good at plagiarism, too.
Ya think this version might be a bit “edgier” than the original?
