The problem is the amount of cash dollars to get you through 3 months today will be quite insufficient to get you through 3 months of even a “short-term disruption” as prices will skyrocket. We’ve all seen how gas prices can double overnight. Multiply that by all products as fuel prices dictate all consumer prices and delivery dates.
Yah. Better to have food and water on hand. Put that cash to work now. Food, water, TP, rubber gloves, and so on.
one point the prices skyrocket when there is plenty of money(velocity) and that is not true when banks are locked down. I do believe their is a short term when cash is king...
I think it goes without saying that your residence should be geared up with necessities, entertainment, food and beverages enough so that as you used them your day-to-day expenses would be minimal.

Dave Ramsey recently ranted on his show about people calling asking if they should sell all their stocks, buy gold, the end of the world or economy is coming.
He said that if you truly believe that, buy bullets, beans, a generator and gas, not gold.
Which is why hopefully you buy in bulk anyway and have the items you need on hand.
