These Naïve Neds will always do their THANG, I reckon. My MIL was like that. She ruined a trip to the mountains for me. - We stopped at a scenic overlook to see the most perfect double rainbows I had ever seen. - Well, there was a mother bear & her cubs at the overlook. My MIL jumped out of the car, leaving the car door open; leaving me, my husband, our little boy & my FIL sitting there. (She “wanted” to get close to the bears & probably pet them.) It put my husband & his father in a really bad position of having to rescue MIL from her own naivete. Her actions just soured the whole nice experience. I think she always had to prove just how much FAITH she had over & above the rest of us. I thought not only that it was very childish, but also defying the posted laws up there. It is one thing to be CHILD-LIKE & another to be CHILD-ISH.
Next time, let her feed the bears?
