The Patriots on Friday released a string of e-mails between the team and the NFL that prove the League chose not to correct an incorrect report from ESPN that suggested 11 of 12 footballs were two PSI below regulation during the AFC Championship Game.
The e-mails, included via link on an amended page of the Patriots web site wellsreportcontext.com, were exchanged between Patriots legal counsel Robyn Glaser and NFL executive Jeff Pash. An e-mail from Patriots Vice President of Media Relations Stacey James is also included on the page added to the web site Friday morning.

Wednesday morning, Patriots chairman and CEO Robert Kraft expressed his displeasure with the NFL that a incorrect narrative was allowed to sway public opinion for many months.
"The league’s handling of this entire process has been extremely frustrating and disconcerting," said Kraft. "I will never understand why an initial erroneous report regarding the psi level of footballs was leaked by a source from the NFL a few days after the AFC Championship game was never corrected by those who had the correct information. For four months, that report cast aspersions and shaped public opinion."

I find the resentment towards the New England team to be largely irrational but the League evidently has determined that the greater nbr. of fans are entitled to their Lb. of flesh and so the League has complied on a scale likely unanticipated by even the most ardent Patriots haters, to deal quite harshly with the recently perreniell winners.
For what? The NFL published the actual illegal deflation figures that lead to the sanctions against Tom Shady and the Cheatriots.
They were slightly less deflated than the ESPN reporer first reported, but it is not up to the NFL to correct every reporter’s error.
This is just the Cheatriots blowing smoke. It is their version of Planned Parenthood’s “highly edited videos made by extremists” lie.

I agree 100%. The utter arrogance of the Patriots organization may be unmatched. They got caught. They need to shut up and take the medicine. Poor old owner just backs his ‘guys’ no matter what, and is made the fool. He needs to stop trusting and help get to the bottom of the corruption in the organization. They have a culture under Belichek that there are no rules. Video the opposition’s practice to learn their game plan...that’s cool if you don’t get caught. Let’s lower the pressure on the balls so it’s easier to hold on to and easier to catch. Cool...just don’t get caught.
I’ve always like Kraft, and I still do, but he’s proving to have blinders on for the people in his organization. This whole situation is blown out of proportion, but they are as guilty of anyone of making it so. There is zero doubt, this was a purposeful effort to deceit the refs after the balls are approved pre-game. They needed to take their medicine this off-season and move on.
They contributed as much as anyone to fight at all costs and let a molehill become a mountain. I am not even a fan of Goddell, but he’s in the right here. Kraft needs to be clear to his organization that there is zero tolerance moving forward.
Even IF, IF, something was done, this is like getting 30 years in jail for going 56 MPH on a 55 MPH road. Goodell is 100% being pushed by other/all owners (minus RK) to completely screw the NEW franchise. Now TB has to go complete scorched earth on any and everyone, both on and off the field. And Goodell needs to be removed; it’s about time some counter-surveillance is done on him and take his useless ass out once and for all.
