One of the iconic moments in WWF/WWE history: Roddy Piper smashes “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka in the head with a coconut during a segment of “Piper’s Pit.”
And that incident happened to be my first time watching the WWF (a very solemn Mean Gene in the studio introduced the troubling segment). I was blown away by the sheer abuse and violence.
