I see a good opportunity here for an entrepreneur to create an antidrone device. Perhaps some sort of water cannon or one of those t-shirt launchers modified to fire a wet mass of thread.
From what I read the guy is both intelligent and safety minded.
He intentionally used a shotgun with small shot, no chance of injury to anyone downrange.
Not only do I not have a problem with this, it should be a model for future issues. “If you like your drone, you don’t get to cry and sue when you fly it over property belonging to someone else and they destroy it.”
You don’t go drive your car around the back of your neighbor’s house on their property and yard then stare at them for a while with binoculars and a recording camera, then leave when you feel like it.
