You might have missed it but the Republicans had no intention of nominating anyone but Bush.
That was the strategy from the beginning. Nominate business as usual insiders to protect the party brand and their own positions.
They’re bought and paid for and will do what they’re told. And they’ve been doing this for decades.
If things stay as the are, they’ll have no choice but to nominate Trump. He’s certainly does not trust the Democrats or Republicans for obvious reasons.

Right now is a perfect time for Trump to tell the GOPe to pound sand. He should boycott every debate and FOX News.
And then they have no chance to sandbag him again. He can just tour the primary states and campaign on making American great again while ripping Republicans as the party of cheap labor who care more about the votes from illegal Hispanics than white Americans.
He’d win in a landslide.
No, I didn’t miss it at all and still am largely convinced that piaps and jebito will be the nominees. There is a great analysis over at conservative treehouse on the topic.
I think Donald’s real chance is via a second party bid. He’s also the honey badger of presidential nominees so there is a possibilty he’ll do it just out of spite. There are enough people on both sides of the political spectrum that are pissed off to give him a fair to middling chance of pulling it off if he chooses that strategy.

You are right on... I have never seen someone attacked so mercilessly and dishonestly by so many different groups.. It is essentially all media— major networks and cable networks— all editorial writers— all politicians of both parties with maybe one exception.. and the only people for him is us here at this website— and a lot of talk radio— and the great unwashed public.. But there is no doubt Trump is a brave soul to keep fighting on..
It's all they have left and they are getting desperate - I think I'll ping Trump's campaign site and offer support - I already did once and gave them scoobies while letting on that I'm really for Cruz.
So we gave the republicans a majority becuase they said “we will kill obamacare” we will stop obama and the destruction of this country and what did they do? so now we have Trump who is now frying thier a##es and I love it
