Anyone else notice a certain radio talk show host on at this time of day using the WOTD at least twice that I’ve counted?

Never heard him use the word before to my recollection.

Hillary and Jeb both have
A demeanor that is so dour
Without one jocular moment
They run on money and power

Both give scolding speeches-
They aspire to reign over us
And any staffer who disagrees
Goes promptly under their bus

Jeb looks saner than Hillary
More predictable and steady-
But a sovereign for CIC is out
We have one of those already...

I saw on Twitter that the dirt nap is finally beckoning the peanut farmer. Hoping he’s getting himself right with the Lord.

I saw earlier that he has liver cancer-this may sound mean, but apparently living totally without any recreational stuff like tobacco, alcohol-or healthy lust etc-even in moderation doesn’t guarantee anything. Since that is the case, I’ll just keep eating fresh stuff, staying away from drugs, indulge in my occasional smoke, and beer or wine-and enjoy life...

I wonder if believes the misery he has caused many of us in this country was right-especially with any “free” education anything but, and in the toilet, while the EPA is causing toxic spills in rivers, and ruining people’s livelihoods. The God I believe in/pray to probably doesn’t like any of that...

I would ask continued prayers for my BIL. Been at stage 4 for two years. They seem to have stopped chemo. Were planning some radiation to control pain. Liver surgery recently, he had a tumor there, too. Possibly a lesion on the brain, too...that was 2nd hand info. In the hospital with c-diff, extreme diarrhea, hopefully that is improving now. I remain worried.

Isn’t liver cancer one of the ones that isn’t beatable? I’ve had two friends die from it in the last few years-the last was a co-worker-a plumbing contractor-who succumbed to it a couple of years ago. Both of those people were working up until their last few days, but they were right up front about the end being near because there was no cure.

Prayers for him, indeed. A fatal reaction to chemo and a brain lesion that burst were what took my compadre in his sleep this past June-he’d been experiencing a lot of side effects from chemo for several months, but he kept on truckin’ at a regular pace at work-those of us who worked with him for years are sure that he prayed for a last blaze of strength to go out on, and God gave it to him.

He is 91, so who’s to say clean living did him good or bad.

I didn’t mean his age-that is good genes-I was referring to the fact that some believe you will likely not develop some fatal disease like cancer if you never indulge in alcohol or tobacco-I’ve always subscribed to the theory that eating mostly processed food, environment, stress levels and just plain luck are more of a factor. There is far less stress in a rural area.

Besides, we don’t know what is really in much of the engineered/processed food, and even in municipal water supplies-but we do know that factory farms feed stuff to animals raised as food that is bad for humans-which is why people like me insist on grass fed and free range meat-preferably from livestock raised by a neighbor...

C.diff is awful. Some hospitals have a real problem with it. I will pray for your BIL. I hate cancer with a passion.
