"Trump has made more progress on addressing tough issues in the past 3 months than Cruz or any of them have made to date."

Trump has three months of talking under his belt; Cruz has a lifetime of Constitutional conservatism and a career history (including that of Texas Solicitor General) of fighting under his.

There is no comparison.

"Cruz would be a fool to turn down VP"

Cruz is a brilliant man. I'm pretty sure he understands it would be foolish to attach himself to a Democrat.

It's very early.

Yes, I think as things stand now, if the Convention were held today, that is exactly what we would see.

Okay, someone said Cruz is Constitutional in views, okay, if Trump is not exactly this, it wouldn’t be the first time, the Veep and President do not have exactly the same views.

Trump as Vice-President? I won’t wait for that to happen.

There was an article as well, per Trump-Carson, that seems a possibility as well though not as likely.

What other Veep possibilities? I guess a number.

Would never happen—or, likely, win.

Cruz/Trump tough one, but yeah, I’d just hope Cruz lives for 8 years.

Cruz/Walker yep!

Let’s compare what they have built then

Jobs created

Wealth created

Lives changed

Every lawyer has a “ lifetime of service to the Constitution “

And many have never spent a meaningful day in the private sector worrying about a paycheck , much less the pay checks of thousands of employees

So we must disagree that Ttrumps sole basis for comparison is the past 3 months of his life

Trump has now laid out his illegal immigration plan in very simple English and some detail

When Cruz does the same we will compare them

Now, can Trump take California. Ohio, Texas and Florida after going online with his deportation plan? Are there still enough legals to outvote the illegals?

Disturbed by these questions...am I to infer your position would be that Trump, or other candidates, shouldn’t take the immigration position he did because the composition of the electorate is in question?

Whatever ticket it is; Ohio, Florida are keys along with other swing states. So, one can look at this geographically as well.

Then, one can ask themselves, when was the last time did a Veep candidate sway states in an election??

.others have posted they’d prefer Cruz as CJ of SCOTUS or AG, then CJ of SCOTUS. Great ideas, all.

Trump/Cruz 2016, Cruz/Carson 2024, Cruz for SCOTUS 2033

In other words, he’s a lifetime crony capitalist who has yet to utter the word “Constitution”, and who is a self-described Democrat.

On the other hand, Cruz, a lifetime conservative, Constitutional scholar, and a proven fighter.

As I said-—no comparison.

But if Trump is your thing, have fun.

Either it’s Trump/Cruz 2016, or get ready for another 8 years of dummycrats. I won’t vote for anything less than Trump/Cruz, period.

Trump scares me, though I would vote for him if he is the candidate - would be a vast improvement. He may be the only way to break up the Bush coronation and bring about the fall of the GOPe and our own pundit class.

I would be a lot more comfortable with Cruz. But he is young, so the only way to get Cruz MAY be to go with Trump. We shall see.

I have come to the conclusion that Trump will win the nomination IF the GOPe does not screw him out of it.

I have also come to the conclusion that they WILL screw him out of the nomination.

Therefore, IMO, Trump should go third party NOW unless he can secure a promise that no shenanigans will be pulled by the GOPe. The promise must go into great detail to ferret out every sneaky way that delegates can be denied to Trump.

In return Trump could then pledge to forego a third party run if he loses the nomination fairly.

If the GOPe will not make such a promise then Trump needs to run third party.... they are going to find a way to screw him IMO so the only choice is third party.

If they refuse to promise fairness in all matters related to the nomination then their agenda will be clear for all to see.
