I knew Brady was guilty the minute this was brought up I the post-game presser. He is a very bad actor.
*All* the balls should have “failed” if they’d done the measurements properly. Anyone who remembers jr high science should remember that, though I concede most people may not have been really paying attention in class. Even Exponent fully agrees with that, though they didn’t analyze it.
The problem is that it takes about 15 minutes to reach 95% of equilibrium, and they completed measuring the Pats balls at the beginning of that and didn’t measure the colts balls until the end of that. The Colts balls were generally almost a full PSI OVER what they should have been if they’d have been measured in a timely fashion.
The post-game measurements, inadequate as they were, suggest that by the time the Pats balls were completed being measured and air added by league officials, at least one was still 18 degrees below equilibrium.
You may have read it. You didn’t understand it. That would likely explain why you keep mis-stating it.
You are doing what all pats fans are doing. You are cherry picking and assigning YOUR take on what went down. Both Brady AND. The Pats accepted punishment because they were CAUGHT CHEATING AND THEY KNEW IT!
The only argument now offered up by Brady is in regards to the punishment. He is actually quite pitiful in his very obvious attempt to avoid being “officially” seen for what he is.
It’s all history now. Perception is indeed reality and the very strong perception (about 70%) of Fans is he is guilty. That’s where it ends and it will make no difference if this judge throws out the entire thing because NFL fans will simply see it as yet more favoritism shown towards Brady who is already believed to be treated differently on the field by the officials.
Brady has a tendency to whine to officials if a defensive player even breathes on him and he routinely screams at his players. Perhaps his numbers are great but how he got them will always be questioned.

I get that your stating Pats fan are knee-jerking in their support of Brady, and my take on this is that is certainly true, but what I also find is that opposing team's supporters are equally against Brady--especially those who use derogatory terms like Cheatriots, Billecheat, etc., etc.
BTW, I am an Alabamian. We care a LOT more about UA versus AU. Everyone has taken a side and if it were not for Christianity and the law, a lot of people would beat, fight or even KILL for their team against the others side's fans....
I like the NY teams. And of course other teams supporters are against the pats and Brady. Other fans are against the NYY and Arod as well but that in and of itself has nothing to do with guilt or innocence . Perennial winners like the NYY and Pats will always be despised by certain fans of the game because of jealousy. Of course they won’t say that so they come up with other reasons for their dislike for these opponents such as higher payrolls for the Yankees allowing them to buy the championship and favoritism by the officials and an easier schedule for the Pats.
When this sort of thing happens the detractors have something REAL they can latch on to which proves they were right all along.

However, seriously, sports fans are sometimes SO illogical and cannot divest themselves of their hate for the other side/love of their side. It is VERY tribal. It always need to be acknowledged on any argument about sports.
And as a side note, I suspect that every team in the NFL adjusts the pressure in their footballs to the satisfaction of their quarterbacks prior to each game........
Sure, illogical and passionate are oft times opposite sides of the same coin.

Stop the nonsense and READ the reports, both of them including the appeal rejection.
The Colts were not implicated because they did no wrong despite your spin.
I did not say they did wrong. But if their footballs were underinflated as well, why are they less accountable?
If you are truly interested in how this all came about please read the entire Wells Report and the NFL response to the Brady appeal.
It will not take long and what you see will, if you are not a totally blind pats fan, a preponderance of facts in evidence to convict anyone of what Brady was involved in.
I see enough that the Patriots took Goodell’s implied leniency if they didn’t fight it, something that hooked the Saints earlier before it was reversed. At best, you have a team offense, and the team should have been fined the 5-8,000 dollars set out in the rules. This puts the penalty at the same level that the Jets faced for doing the same thing two years before this. It does not square with no penalties for the Vikings, Packers, and Colts who were all caught with altered footballs. If $1,000,000, a draft pick, and four games is the penalty, then all these teams should face it.
I must have missed where those other teams obstructed the investigation or where the primary accused destroyed evidence on top of refusing to cooperate.
I also must have missed the past offenses of the teams you mentioned, said previous infractions necessarily would add to the penalty. And how odd is it the Pats would so quickly accept the fine and lost draft pick over something they DIDN’T do.

Look it doesn’t even matter at this point. In the eyes of a HUGE majority of fans Brady is guilty and nothing will ever change that. Perception is reality.

When footballs cool, they get stiffer, not softer, even though they lose pressure. There are many games a year where the footballs are outside the rule limits - probably nearly all except a few games in the south or in domes once November comes around.
In the case of the playoff game, it was also raining, so the footballs (and the refs) were wet too.
If you read the Wells report, you will find that “the Pats” are explicitly exonerated.

Ok so the pats paid a million dollar fine and lost two draft picks for something they had nothing to with? You seem to not understand the team itself (the Pats and Kraft)is responsible for the actions of it’s personnel
