The top picture reminds me of our two little donkey boys we miss so very much. Clinton, and Harry used to play together in the corrals years ago.

They’d see me pulling the water hose to the two 25 gallon water barrels each morning, and nights feeding time, and I would lay the hose into the barrel, and go back to turn on the faucet.

One day I went up the hill in the evening to feed them, and found the boys had moved the corral panels, stretched their necks as far as they could, and grabbed the water hose laying on the ground a distance away from the corrals, dragged the hose into the corral, dropped the hose over the water barrel, and were busy trying to get the end of the hose over to the barrel. My BIG little helpers. Fortunately they hadn’t damaged the hose any during their attempt to help me. I just stood there, and laughed, then went into the corrals, and we all had a big hug session.

I’d love to have more donkeys as they are like having BIG puppies, but at our age it’s just not a good idea to start over. Still have two old horses left.
