Simple answer: strong El Nino. Earth’s weather is cyclical.

Because there are more wild fires. Therefore, less hurricanes. (Sara)

How can this be?

I just saw somewhere that July 2015 was the hottest July in the history of the universe.

I’ve been stocking up on bottled water and toilet paper.

Just another thing the “experts” got totally wrong. They were also positive that there would be no oil or gas energy by now, and we would have to depend on solar and wind. Wrong again…and it’s cost the taxpayers billions as these cretins took out money and blew it on bird-killing windmills and bird-frying solar farms. They ought to be jailed for the disasters they’ve caused by their ignorant propaganda.

Hurricane Danny fizzles: Why are there fewer big hurricanes?

I'm pretty sure these things work in cycles.

We may be seeing a long-term change in weather patterns here in the eastern U.S. where the summers are too cool and the Gulf Stream isn’t strong enough to sustain hurricanes very far north.

That was the old model.

Once the model is adjusted to predict what has already happened, it will prove that capitalism must be destroyed if we are to survive.

Global warming. Those high emission SUV owners deserve a medal.

Why are there fewer big hurricanes?

Because the mean, evil Republicans won't fund them.

No Major Hurricane Has Made Landfall In the U.S. In More Than 9 Years — and That’s a New Record
1MAY2015
http://www.weather.com/storms/hurricane/news/major-hurricane-us-landfall-drought-study

Why Was Wilma the Last Major Storm to Hit U.S.?
Meteorologist Ari Sarsalari talks about why we haven’t had a major hurricane in more than a decade in the U.S.

The U.S. is in new record territory, as the nation passes the nine and a half year mark without the landfall of a major hurricane. But what researchers believe is behind the so-called hurricane drought might surprise you.

A hurricane is considered a “major hurricane” when it reaches at least Category 3 status, with maximum sustained winds of 111 mph or greater on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale. Hurricane Wilma was the last major hurricane to make landfall in the U.S., when it came ashore on October 24, 2005 near Cape Romano in southwestern Florida as a Category 3 storm; Wilma actually peaked as a Category 5 as it spun in the Caribbean Sea.

This is now the longest streak since hurricane records began in 1851. The previous record was a little over nine years, set from August 11, 1860 to September 8, 1869.

Note: As of 24OCT2005 it has now been 3,590 days (or 9.8 years) since Wilma made landfall.

The hurricanes are trapped deep in the oceans along with all the AGW evidence.

You all forget that Global Warming causes everything!

Also everything it causes is bad and our fault.

So whenever we’re up to here in whatever our sins have caused, we’ll have to lament “If only we’d paid more taxes!”.

Oh no - whatever will we do, how can the weather channel survive unless we have a major hurricane. I know, maybe they can hype global climate change a little more!

Easy..

Because liberals said there would be more and larger ones because of global warming. And liberals are always wrong, thus we have had almost no hurricanes.
