Add to that, if you had cancer you are closely monitored for years to come. Those CT/PET scans can turn up some of the smallest of 'growths.' So much so, I go back in October to remove what they believe is my colon cancer coming back to the operative site three years ago. So small on the CT/PET but they know the trends. So we are ahead of the curve this time and I will probably avoid chemo.
Glad that they caught it early, Redleghunter. :-) But I'm sorry that you'll have to undergo surgery.
One of my younger cousins was diagnosed recently with breast cancer a second time. The first time, it was caught when it was very, very tiny. This time, it was a little bigger, but still caught early enough that she won't need chemo.
Still, I wish neither of you - nor any of our other FRiends here - had to ever fight this thing again. Or, better yet, not even a first time.
