It’s pretty simple really, the Republican leadership was taken over/lobbied heavily by Libertarians who invaded the party because (in the words of one of them who became an elected official that I know of) nobody wants to vote for Libertarians, so if they want representation the GOP is their best bet. Problem is they got greedy, and yet we still have the basic problem of the unpopularity of the Libertarian world view which includes such things as Open Borders. On what planet, pray tell, is Open Borders a conservative stance? Or a Republican stance?

I think the idea was that gay everything, legalized weed, and open borders were the “good news” that was supposed to convert us all. Instead people are heading for any port in a storm.

And if our Republic is really dead as a practical matter? If the party system has outlived its usefulness and is dead, what then? If all our current politicians want is money and power, what then?

You forgot #6:

6. They try to stigmatize anyone who criticizes their leader by equating them with the worst of the opposition.

We’re already seeing that on this very thread :)

My guess is he has drunk the GOPe kool aid saying that Trump will cost us the election and it will be Hillary if we don’t elect Jeb. Sorry, I’m no longer holding my nose. I want Cruz, but I would take Trump over any of the other squishies in this race.

I don’t want an open border or amnesty. Its just level of anger and intensity that I see Trump supporters put into the issue of immigration and foreigners. I actually ended up debating a freeper the other day who wanted Christian refugees from ISIS thrown out of this country because their were too many foriegners here. He didn’t care when I told him that that would be sending them to their deaths and their wives and children potentially to a life as sex slaves.

>> with Obama it was a tossup as to whether he leaned more fascist or communist <<

Hmm. Didn’t Mussolini start out as a commie and switch to fascism later? Whatever works best, I guess!

Neither. I support Cruz and would be Happy with Walker and OK with Rubio.

I’m still intending to vote for Cruz in March.

I will never vote for any of The Cheap Labor Express candidates and your two backups are on that list. If you would be happy with Walker and Rubio, you are happy with amnesty, abandoning the rule of law and giving up the country.

We have one more chance to save the country. We must elect someone who will stop the invasion.

The Cheap Labor Express has been paying our politicians to mae sure the steady flow of labor across the border continues. They have been paying for propaganda to try to convince us it’s good for us. Faux News slants coverage of the issue all the time. They own the GOP and have manipulated the primary process to ensure we can’t stop them. (See MS 2014 or 2008 & 2012)
I’m beginning to think Trump may be the only way to break the stranglehold The Cheap Labor Express has on the GOP. That must be done to save the country.
One party MUST represent the citizens.
Currently the Democrats represent the illegal aliens.
The GOP represents their employers.
No one represents the 65% of the citizens that want the invasion/colonization stopped.

But you have no problem by ACTUALLY getting screwed by both parties for 30 years? Have you bothered to check middle class income charts adjusted for inflation? In case you have not, middle class is tapped out and under stress.

Trump’s priority is to help the middle class, which actually works hard and produces goods and services. What we have now is the top 1% getting richer, and the bottom 47% feeding at the welfare trough without pushing the wagon.

DO not blame Trump....blame the professional politicians for the anger in electorate.

In the national struggles of the proletarians of the different countries, they (the Communists) point out and bring to the front the common interests of the entire proletariat, independently of all nationality.

The Communists are further reproached with desiring to abolish countries and nationality.
The notion of “open borders” is communistic through and through.

Say what you want but I have been a conservative for many years as my posting history will show. In 2008, I supported Duncan Hunter and in 2012, I supported Rick Santorum.

4. The delight that Trump seems to take in personally demeaning and attempting to destroy anyone who opposes him. And the way that his followers cheer him on in so including supporting him using sexist slurs against Megan Kelly for doing her job as a journalist.

Poor dear Megan Kelly. Such a delicate flower, she needs protection per Trump haters. But she threw out the first sexist slur with the question she aimed at Trump, purposely leaving out the background story of the Trump/Rosie fight. That's some kind of journalist. Leave out the facts, just throw the bomb.

If the Uniparty were truly concerned with keeping the real labor price low, they would have not piled on the regulations and corporate taxation, not have created the welfare state, not have initiated trade with enemy communistic states, and thus kept the value of the dollar intact.
