Yeah, I get that part. I'm just dumbfounded all three of the victims were so far in the bubble they didn't notice a three hundred pound man sidle up behind the camera man and display a pistol for half a minute before he opens up.
Now I'll admit, I have first hand experience with TV news folk not being the sharpest crayon in the box, but that just amazes me beyond words.

I’m getting tired of being punished for a crime I had nothing to do with.
And I think it’s weird these two were on TV the same day as their loved one’s murder.
