I rule out heifers for the same reasons you guys rule out steers. At the size of this animal, which I would guess to be 750-1000 lbs, there should be some visible teats, maybe even a milk bag. "She" has nothing. And she is not a "young" heifer. She's older than a yearling, which means she is of breeding age.

Here is a picture of a steer from that breeder [on some of these woolier breeds, it's often difficult to see anything on a castrated male.]

Regardless of size or weight, that female animal is a heifer, because she shows all signs of never having calved. By the looks of her large body she could well be, and probably is bred and carrying a calf. Her udder will not begin to swell and get ready for the birth until several weeks before she calves, which could be months away. When she does calve, since she is a beef breed and not a milking breed, her udder will never get as large as a Holstein’s, or even a Guernsey’s. Her only milk production will be to nourish her calf until it is weaned.
