It strikes me as just a bit odd that an article 10 months old is today getting posted.
I consider the mechanisms that might have lead to the delay, and then I realize that after all I do not care for Doritos very much at all.
Who Googles ‘Doritos in the news?’
I suppose that the world is a lot bigger than I ever realized with a lot of varied individual interests.

I grew up in CT and my Grandpa sold Moxie at his market . I never liked it that much , but occasionally drank it . This was in the early 60’s ( born in ‘52 )

I didn’t drink that much soda as a kid, but for some reason latched onto Mr. Pibb for the duration of high school. I seem to have survived it and am fit, but knowing how utterly useless and bad for you it is, I would have chosen better back then. Probably would have saved myself from a cavity or two.

I can’t stand Mountain Dew, either but I recently tried Voltage, it’s blue and I thinks it’s raspberry flavored. I have never drank a soda so fast in my life. I usually don’t like sweet sodas but that stuff...wow. Delicious.

The idea of a Doritos flavored soda is almost as disgusting to me as the potential of seeing Hillary Clinton naked.

Soda is not a source of nutrition. It has many harmful chemicals in addition to sugar.
In my travels around the Tampa Bay area, I often see sad human relics enjoying their comfort foods: big gulps and a cigarette, while sitting on an unsheltered bus stop bench in the 100* Florida summer sun.
Boggles my mind why money and manpower would be dedicated to creating something as stupid as Doritos soda. YUCK!

Not sure. As a kid in the 50s I remember drinking Dr.Pepper with a bag of peanuts poured in.

I stopped drinking soda about 20 years ago. My health immediately improved and stayed that way. Ironically, I drink a lot more beer and wine then I used to. I think beer and wine are better for you, in moderation of course, because they are made with all natural ingredients - barley, hops and yeast for beer and grapes for wine.
As for snacks, I never understood the appeal of Doritos. I have a personal policy of not eating any snacks that make my fingers turn orange. I find it kind of disgusting. I remember growing up, my mother used to eat those orange cheese curls in the living room. You would have this orange powder all over the couch, rug and coffee table. Disgusting.

2 beers per night for me. Love red wine but goes down too easy, then I don’t get up very easy.

I recall seeing a post recently that showed a connection between Pepsi and Planned Parenthood where aborted babies were used in flavorant research for Pepsi’s products.
None-the-less, I think I will pass.
