Ok it is time to say a word about Bobby Jindal (seems pretty darned solid)

I was just watching a portion of "This Week with George S", which was guest hosted today.
She had Bobby Jindal on, and lobbed several tough questions at him. He hit them right out of the park. She stayed focused on being critical of Hillary, and refused to be critical of Donald Trump.
He just refused to be goaded into an anti-Trump position, but was strongly for America and I was very, very impressed. Strongly for controlling immigration.
Very well done, Mr. Jindal. Good job.
Gotta pay more attention to Jindal.

Nope.
Just saying Jindal sounds better than I had ever heard him before.
I was very impressed. Trump is my first choice. Well second technically after Palin, but she’s not currently running.
Jindal sounded like he gets it.

Love Jindal, hes not electable.
This guy is incontrovertible evidence that Freerepublic is being overrun by RAT trolls. Signed up on 8/27/15 (3 days ago). Wonder why? He is probably being paid by the post so I am sure he will respond to this with some BS. Sorry, I have better things to do than to get involved in an internet chain argument.

I like Jindal too. He’s certainly among the top three republican candidates in my opinion. In fact, today, I prefer him over Cruz.

He doesn’t move the needle. Thanks for the hearty handshake and warm welcome. I’m sure your sentiments don’t reflect the majority of posters here.

Hmmm, well I have been a troll since high school then I guess. Why is pointing out that Jindal is unelectable trolling? I like Cruz, wish he had more charisma. Like Trump less, but recognize that he is charisma personified. Not a troll, realist. Jindal does not move the needle. Shoot me.

If The Donald doesn't start emphasizing substance over flash on issues other than immigration and if The Donald's zombie worshipers don't hold him to some minimal standards of civility and comprehensive issue competence with SPECIFICS, then that "sux" for the USA which will be the ultimate loser when there is no longer any hope for a coherent policy-oriented GOP.
Somewhere above, Ronald Reagan and Jack Kemp weep.

IMHO he deserves recognition. Anyone who can work against the Landreu clan should get this recognition. He is strongly favored as being ‘one of the good guys’. Next door to La here in Tex not much is known of him or his politics. Is there something I’m missing?? Why has he been so low under the radar? TRUMP-—one who might be considered an ally ie Cruz, Carson?

Many of these lower tier candidates, realizing that they will never overtake Trump nevertheless are smart enough not to bad mouth him in hopes that there will be a place for them in his administration, like VP or SoS or AG or maybe even SCOTUS.Or head of INS. :-)

Bobby is a con artist. HE TALKS TO FAST AND SAYS TO MUCH SO THAT HE SOUNDS IMPRESSIVE. HE HAS DONE HIS BEST TO SCREW UP MY STATE MORE THAN ANY OTHER GOVERNOR. DON’T BE FOOLED.

I like Jindal very much- and had hoped he’d move up after the debate.

I have noticed that there is always suspicion and hostility directed at anyone who recently joined Free Republic. They did it to me too. :)
There *ARE* a lot of undercover trolls on here.
Me, I don't pay much attention to when someone signed up. We were all newbies at some point.
Also trolls make the place a bit more exciting. It get's boring reading stuff from people who agree with you. :)

OK. But it is better not to trash capable and honorable men like Bobby Jindal a few days after you register here. We conservatives have a lot of good choices this time and we should not spend time dumping on them but instead work for the one that you think is best. Why don’t you tell us why you like Ted Cruz?

I’d say it speaks less to the depth of our bench than our voters’ unfortunate tendency to be distracted by shiny objects and tough-sounding blather.
