WASHINGTON, Aug 30 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama on Monday will officially restore Denali as the name of North America's tallest mountain, ending a 40-year battle over what to call the peak that has been known as Mount McKinley.
Denali means :The Great One, but knowing Obama after seven years, I think he just wanted some way to DIS-honor William McKinley, who was probably ‘not minority’. This is what matters to people like Obama.
Obama be hatin’ on Whitey again. Anything to insult Americans.
McKinley favored the gold standard.
The Lyin’ King doesn’t want McKinley to be remembered.
It might give people “ideas”.
Well. To be fair, Alaska has been asking for this since the 80s ... maybe even the 70s. The legislature recognizes it as Denali.
So ... I’ve got zero problem with it if that’s what Alaska wants.
Every city has a Martin Luther King Blvd.
When you go to a city for the first time, do you automatically avoid Martin Luther King Blvd? Why?

So then if we are consistent, we should rename all the MLK streets, avenues, and schools back to their original names.

This Kenyan maggot isn’t “renaming” anything. I lived in Alaska for five years. Everyone there calls the mountain Denali. The National Park is also called Denali National Park. This cheap Chicago hood is such an arrogant thug. The boy’s “fundamental transformation” shtick is a scam just as his “climate change” hoax is also a scam. I think it’s time that the name of every elementary school in America that is named after this moron be changed to Denali Elementary School. Obonzo is one sick puppy.
I’ve always thought that Mt. McKinley was just an honorary name. I only heard it rarely used since the early 90s.

Americans mistakenly thought it would be a lasting memorial to our martyred leader William McKinley.
It was Denali for a helluva lot longer than McKinley.
I usually don’t go for the “going native” thing, but Denali is OK by me.
So are you suggesting that the Feds imposed the name “McKinley” over Alaska’s wishes?
If that’s the case, then I say it’s one of the few things Obama has done right.
I’m not particularly upset by this - except that I know that Bambi is doing it to give the middle finger - because Denali actually has been used as a name there for some time. But I’m upset that it’s the racist Obama doing this.
He can rename it all he want, and he is not the first to try, but it is still Mount McKinley and he and others should stop messing with American heritage. Pathetic. Who’s he trying to appease, some drunk natives who never once go near it or climbed it?
What’s next? Changing the name of Washington to Sharptonberg?
I think he thinks he’s naming it after a car?
