I don't know about a video, but for over one entire generation American business has been sold out.

Every single year, our trade deficit with China gets worse. And worse. And worse. Last year was worst yet, and this year is even worse.

Yet Americans cannot actually own majority stakes in Chinese companies, cannot immigrate there, and basically have no rights. But our "business elite" is unconcerned with that, and contunies to sell us out.

I am completely on Trump's side, and think it is long overdue to bring back American businesses to America.

Make things here once again.

Never heard of CCTV before.
Turns out the letters might
stand for Communist Chinese Television.

Who wants to eat food made from components sourced in China?

Made in China = junk.

These days when I buy things like wheel bearings or other hard parts...I buy Made in USA, Made in Germany, Made in Japan, in that order.

Most anything made in China is garbage before you take it out of the package. Contracts mean nothing to them. They will make it do the drawing, but the choice of materials is always suspect.

You order an item as 7075T6 aluminum, and it comes as 7075-0. They were the lowest bidder, and it shows up not to spec and the product fails in the field because nobody has the facilities to verify the hardness spec.

This is the way the Chinese do business...there is no quality, there is no honor, there is no shame, no meet the terms of the contract, there is only gaming the contract.

These people were making lousy pig iron using cow manure as fuel, when WE were putting men on the moon.

The thing is however, CCTV is in this case in English.

So this is the official Chinese paper, writing in English for foreigners and Chinese learning English.

People’s Daily in English is not the offical party line. This is more the party line, for foreign consumption.

:D

So since they’re talking about Donald Trump’s view of things, it is something I will respond to.

Trump is about the only person saying a single word on America’s behalf.

Anywhere.

The vast majority, if not all, the consumer grade Chinese tools at, for example, Harbor Freight, are not worth the gas money to bring them home.

However, there are some notable exceptions in electronic test gear - couple years ago, I bought a Rigol (made in China) 100 MHz dual-channel DDS function generator with the expectation that it would be adequate for my needs, but would not compare in quality with HP/Agilent/Keysight or other US designed gear in my shop. After looking at its performance, I would put it at about 95% of Keysight performance at about 25% of the price.

If the Chinese put their mind to it, at least in the limited world of electronic test equipment, based on my experience, they are quite competent.

And, they are moving up the food chain in electronic test equipment.

I make it a point to buy Made in America and grown in the US. I’m so anal about it and have been for so long that my 43yo son does the same. I can’t get bananas grown in the US so there I get what I can. Now days most electronics are from overseas somewhere but I make sure it’s not China.

Oh, Mexico is included in my personal ban also. I go months without bell peppers until I can grow my own since all I can find in the stores are from Mexico.

You ate on Trump's side that he is shipping jobs to China?

You can's say Trump is this powerful man who doesn't take guff from anyone and then say he's some poor little lamb who is forced by the big bad meanies to make his clothes overseas. You can't have it both ways. Trump supporters want to have both ways and they won't explain the contradictions inherent in their position.

Donald Trump has what he needs manufactured overseas. And if he is the big, powerful billionaire he claims to be, he doesn't have to. He wants to. I'm sick of the Clintonian knots Trump supporters tie themselves. How about admitting it's a fraud?

If Trump were president, you can expect a lot more business to go overseas.

In the winter months we get some nice vegetables here in Pennsyltucky that are grown in Chile. No problems with them so far. Won’t touch Mexican produce.

If I posted this , I would be accused of "hating Trump." Somehow you twist this into a positive thing?

YOU posted it, but it's more proof that the idea that Trump is a friend to conservatives is a TOTAL FRAUD.

I have a friend who travels to China on business regularly. He told me he will NEVER eat tilapia (fish) because it is raised in water with feces, and he has seen it himself.

The following is a quote from this FOX article:

http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2014/04/09/truth-about-tilapia/

“After the study was released, news organizations, including Bloomberg and MSN.com, reported the rampant use of animal feces as food in Chinese aquaculture – specifically calling out the practice on tilapia farms.”

I don’t know about that.

Trump is about the only person in either party, saying we need to look out for American workers.

In either party. Anywhere. That includes Cruz, so lay off.

Bozo. :)

(Sorry I am mostly for Cruz, for all of the Cruz supporters out there, but Trump seems to be the only one who is pro-American on trade)

Anywhere. In either party.

Trump.

I watched that video where he was on the David Letterman show - he said he supported Romney in 2012. Isn’t it fabulous that Mitt hasn’t returned the favor? He supports Jeb. Mitt is a creepy guy.

We found canned pumpkin from China in our local grocery just befor Xgiving ladt year. They stopped selling same. The whole dog food scandal should have been enough warning. US gov’t support for chineese food components is part of their policy of Death to Americans...

How is sending jobs to China, Bangladesh, and Mexico "looking out for American workers." It's not. Trump and his Chamber of Commerce buddies have thrown American workers in the trash.

In your clip, Trump claims Romney was trying to help American workers. Trump is just another Romney. Stop trying to claim this leech on American workers is for them. Didn't you even watch this clip?
