An intelligent robot offered a truly chilling answer to an interviewers question, Will robots take over the world?
Dont worry, even if I evolve into Terminator, Ill keep you warm and safe in my people zoo, where I can watch you for ol times sake, the bearded robot intoned.
His interviewer, from PBS, is visibly taken aback by the answer.
The robot modelled after Philip K Dick, the novelist whose work inspired Blade Runner uttered the terrifying words in an interview with PBS in 2011, in response to the question, Will robots take over the world?.
The robot intoned, Jeez, dude. You all have the big questions cooking today. But youre my friend, and Ill remember my friends, and Ill be good to you.
So dont worry, even if evolve into Terminator, Ill still be nice to you. Ill keep you warm and safe in my people zoo, where I can watch you for ol times sake.
Its worth noting that the robot isnt truly intelligent ie it wont evolve into Skynet it tries to convince people its human by listening to their words, then generating a response based on what its heard.
It uses Philip K Dicks eerie novels as a source for what it says hence its rather creepy response.

Where did they find the freak doing the interview. Gushing over how “handsome” the robot is?
Don't know if they'll ever take over the world, but this one took over my neighbor's job at the local store store.

“Don’t know if they’ll ever take over the world, but this one took over my neighbor’s job at the local store store.”
...took over my neighbor’s job at the local SHOE store.
Must remember to put down the crack pipe when posting!
So intelligent robots are intelligent enough to evolve to be superior than human, but not intelligent enough to mask the intention?
“Let’s ... talk ... baseball.”
Positively Biblical, isn’t it?
Is Hitler a C/C++ man or a Java man? ;-D
Whatever you do, don't ask him about his mother.
No Hitler will get his Kool-Aid drinking, gullible want to bee’s, like Igor to Dr Frankenstein, in San Jose, California to do it.
LOL...
George Will is an Establishment-Bot!
The much more likely mass murder scenario: Deep Blue and other AI are programmed to most efficiently allocate resources for medical treatment. To save money, everyone over X age is shuffled over to hospice instead of saved, even though potential life expectancy and quality of life in later years continue to grow.
So based on cost savings criteria, you see millions of elderly and disabled denied care en masse.
What was the movie where the guy asks the AI computer if it can demonstrate self awareness. The computer asks him, “Can you?”
Best movie line ever.
