Yes. But there is also the, "be friendly with everyone and friends with no one" meme that is being pushed in schools.
I kid you not, but kids are being prohibited to have "best friends" in school and they are actively broken up if they defy the ban.
In consequence these boys don't have any idea how to make or be friends.
