So if I understand the SCOTUS ruling, the laws that make marriage only between a man and a woman are unconstitutional. Ok, we don’t agree with the ruling but nothing in their ruling changes the Kentucky law as it stands on the books.

This clerk has decided to not issue any license (including heterosexual marriages). That seems like a reasonable approach considering there is no valid marriage law on the books in Kentucky.

The court did not rewrite each state’s marriage law but they have invalidated ones that specify traditional marriage.

Unfortunately judges act like kings.

And this situation is what will inspire judges to issue contempt citations until state laws are conformed to the Federal will...

Make no mistake; the Federal government means to see same sex marriage the law of the land...
