Thanks for listening to and obeying the Holy Spirit, in helping carry out His mission of encouraging our faith. Doing the Lord’s work is a very great reward.
I wonder how many of you have heard of a group called “INDELIBLE GRACE”? This group’s purpose is “to help the church recover the tradition of putting old hymns to new music for each generation, and to enrich our worship with a huge view of God and His indelible grace. Putting old hymns to new music allows us to hear afresh the rich theology and emotion that fill these hymns.”
Indelible Grace takes very old Hymn texts (sometimes as old as 300-400 years old!)then marries the lyrics to new music..the result is really great music~! Here’s a few of some of the hymns that I’ve enjoyed from INDELIBLE GRACE over the years, on youtube.

Told a friend, need to be in the church I used to attend a couple decades back. People running in the aisle when this one came up:
Blow the Trumpet in Zion

Many moons ago, or more correctly almost a quarter century ago, I sang with an all male group that called themselves The Voices of Praise. When I was asked to sing with them I was the only white face in the bunch. Got used to 'steppin' with the music' and all that. I found out that that thing about natural rhythm ain't necessarily so so I could kid a couple of my fellow singers when they got off step by reminding them that I could do it and I wasn't supposed to have rhythm.. ;-)
Anyway I had a singing partner and I introduced him to Larnelle Harris and he particularly liked a couple of the duets Larnelle did with Sandi Patty so we sang them - of course since neither of us was a soprano we had to do some interesting arranging to pull it off. Really would like to get together with him again, but there's this matter of close to 400 miles between us now. And even if we managed it and tried to do an 'encore performance', I'm thinking that that quarter century would necessitate dropping the key another whole step ;-)
On that note, here are the two songs. And then I'm off to the church of the inner spring(s) for the night.. ;-)
