I know most of us don't need a reminder to fly old glory today but it would be great to see the flag everywhere.

God bless all our countrymen and women that we lost on that infamous day and prayers up for all the families of the fallen.

Prior to 9-11, we always displayed our flag on the appropriate days - Flag Day, July 4th, Memorial Day, etc. On September 12, 2001, my husband put the flag out and it has been displayed ever since in honor of those who died on that infamous day and in the military conflicts that resulted from that vicious attack. It also flies in honor of the members of the USMC and the USN who are stationed at Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base and New River Marine Corps Air Station, both of which are located within a few miles of my home.

As long as it is properly illuminated, it is fine to leave it displayed at night. Of course, we have had to replace it several times in the past 14 years, but in our area there are several groups that you can call on to dispose of a worn-out flag in a solemn and dignified manner.

I know that of course.... I've never felt my porch light is good enough illumination for the flag though so I always take it in.

A few years back I heard one of the history docent’s describe the Fort McHenry Battle of 1812. The battle flag was taken down in the morning and raised in its place was a large, clean flag. The history docent describes it as the was we signaled and celebrated victory, but also was snub to the British Fleet that they had lost.

I love our country and what our flag came to represent.

9-11-01 - A day that will live in infamy. I would never have believed that the events of that day would have resulted in the loss of our country since that day. We stood side-by-side as Americans and most cheered when the bombs fell on Afghanistan and Iraq. Afterward, the Democrats said the war was lost and ushered in Obama - the terrorist POTUS.

My flag used to fly everyday and night. I took it down after the Supremes came out for gay, “Marriage” and president amoeba rainbowed the white hut.

I look forward to the day I’ll fly it again in honor of the republic for which it stood, One nation under God.

Tragically America, it's so called "leaders" and the vast majority of Americans have learned absolutely nothing from 9/11. Just look at the Iran nuclear "deal" and their desire to bring tens of thousands more, UNSCREENED Muslim savages into the USA and sprinkle them throughout the country after Imam Obamessiah has purposely already brought in tens of thousands of them.

You can expect a never-ending stream of Muslim, Islamic incidents of "honor-killings", beheadings, rapes (of both children and women), sexslaves, "lone wolf" terrorist attacks, Sharia Law and police "no-go zones" all over America, along with spectacular, high-casualty Muslum terroist attacks that will dwarf 9/11 in their magnitude from here on out going forward because history has proven that is exactly what has happened EVERYWHERE this policy has been adopted!

All because our "leaders" have consistently, ever since 9/11, done everything within their power to PURPOSELY REFUSE TO RECOGNIZE THE REALITY OF THE THREAT ISLAM AND MUSLIM'S POSE (OR TO WARN AND PREPARE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE); THEIR STATED IDEOLOGY AND ULTIMATE GOALS AND THE TRUTH OF OVER A THOUSAND YEARS OF BLOODY HISTORY CONCERNING MOHAMMED, MUSLIM'S, and ISLAM!

Ever since 9/11 the SOP of the government, law enforcement, and the MSM has been and will continue to be: "Islam is a 'religion of peace!'"; "Islam and Muslims do not pose a threat to life and limb, or to the very future of America's existence." These utterly false premises have formed and guided virtually everything the United States has done since 9/11 concerning Islam and Muslums resulting in disastrous, verifiable consequences both at home and in every other country that has adopted and acted upon them.
