Use iTunes
Are you saying to update through iTunes?
It’s always a good idea to back up your device before any major upgrade and not to difficult to restore using iTunes if something goes wrong. I think typical Apple user is pretty trusting that Apple knows what they’re doing an don’t take as many precautions as they should.
