Romney was next to last in my choices, only ahead of Ron Paul. In Nov 2012 we had a choice. The president was going to be Obama or Romney. If you did not do all you could to stop Obama, well, you got what you deserve. Most of the rest of us didn’t deserve the man who is systematically destroying the country, its culture, its traditions, and its value. The more people there are like you, who could see no difference, will indeed cause us to fall. For a simple current one, do you think Romney would have the freak show Obama chose to meet the Pope? If you think so, we have no need to ever have another discussion.
I could see a difference. I didn’t like either. I am one voter. You can try to shame me all you want. I won’t do the same back. It is your vote. Use it how you choose.
Romney won in my state so your point that I made a difference is invalid. I wrote in Huckabee out of respect for my husband who had died only months early. He loved Huckabee. I knew Romney would take my state.
There is a lot of blame to go around. The strategy gods who forced a too early choice carry some blame, if you want to be collective about your blame. The same thing happened in 2008 with McCain. That crowd thinks true conservatives have nowhere else to go. So they cater to the middle voters. By their definition that means social liberals and big spending/program republicans. The left will always win if the choice is liberal vs liberal, regardless of some differences.
Conservatives do have a place to go. They can go/stay home. Or they can protest vote. If they are unwilling to establish that they in fact DO MATTER, then the party strategists will just keep walking all over them. Look at congress. Republicans have control but won’t fight for anything if they don’t have 60+ votes. The left wins with 40 or less votes. Sweet deal for them. Most of us are sick and tired of the fraudulent way we are treated and we are not going to take it anymore.
