Ready or not, here he comes.
It's official: Columbia will have its very first visit from Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. Trump will be the guest speaker at a town hall meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Koger Center hosted by South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott.
For Trump, as for all Republicans running in the primaries, Columbias vote will be of the utmost importance to the state's primary.
This city is the capital of a state historically considered a Republican hotbed. However, recent demographic shifts within the city limits have transformed the historically red region into a Democratic stronghold, indicative of polling results from both 2008 and 2012 presidential elections.
If Trump is to lead the Republicans presidential ticket, these facts will be of immense significance for his presidential bid.

Enjoy. :D
Will Lyn-see Goober be there in his home state? ehehehehhe
There haven't been any recent demographic shifts in the city in decades. There's a large black population, bunch of yuppies on the gentrification train, and the upper crust made of democrat lawyers and USC professors. Been that way my whole adult life, and I've been an adult for a long time.
SC is solid...good folks there.
