My Huguenot ancestors were named Maupin. They ended up in Tennessee.
That would be Gabriel Maupin born near Abbeville, Normandy in 1666/7 married at the Walloon (Huguenot) Church in Amsterdam 1691 to Mary Hersent dau of Louis Hersent and Marie Pillon.
In 1700 they came to VA and settled by 1708 in Williamsburg, Henrico County, VA
