Doesn’t seem all that long ago they were a power. Now they are AWOL, you hear about A&M, Baylor, TCU. Obviously they’ve lost the recruiting battles down there.

The athletic director, Steve Patterson, recently resigned after loss of support and alienation of influential alumni and football supporters.
It will take years for the program to recover and recruitment will be damaged. Texas is in chaos.

They're like a big corporation: too big to change with the times, so they use their power to suppress competition. I'm an OSU fan and we benefit with recruiting because we play Texas, but I'm sick of them. I want ATM, Mizzou, CU, and Neb back. I hate OU but I actually want the Gooners to beat UT tomorrow. The B12 is a joke because of them. We'll just go join an SEC super conference. Texas can go play Notre Dame 13/ season and make all the money they want with their awesome network.

Even the University of Houston could beat Texas.
