Why is it necessary for Carol to still be in sweet, helpless Suzy Homemaker mode? Since Rick took over, I thought she would be free to drop the facade.

Why is it necessary for Carol to still be in sweet, helpless Suzy Homemaker mode? Since Rick took over, I thought she would be free to drop the facade.
She’s in that mode so the people that don’t know her won’t be expecting it when she goes from “Suzy Homemaker” to “Badazz” in about three seconds. LOL
The writers dropped the ball on what could've been epic; Carol going medieval and unleashing hellfire on wife-beater Pete, pummeling him to within an inch of his life while the rest of Alexandria looked on with horror.
That episode would've been classic.
The Alexandrians think she’s like them - more innocent and not a wild eye killer like the others. They are not on their guard as much around her.
