I recall seeing roller derby on tv as a child but didn’t realize it was still popular anywhere. It’s been decades since I’ve heard anything about it.

Same here. But when I went to search for photos I was surprised to see most appeared to be fairly recent.

I’m in training to try out for our local roller derby, it’s great fun! And it’s making a come-back as well.
