Cut carbs and weight trained, lost some weight. Went vegan including complex carbs minus gluten and continued weight training, lost more weight. I eat more calories that Big Gov says I’m supposed to, even with wt added in. I’m maintaining very well, although I’d like to lose a few vanity pounds if we go to the beach this summer. No cardio, no calorie restriction. Everything Big Gov and paid diet programs tell you to do, do the exact opposite of.
A calorie is not a calorie. There is a thermic effect of food and high carb foods have the lowest. In addition, high carb foods shift the balance of candida albicans away from the optimum, thus slowing metabolism and creating cravings for more carbs. This can cause you to become under or overweight and can cause metabolic syndrome. Do not be fooled, junk food will, eventually cause weight and other health issues and most packaged foods are designed to create cravings, while high jacking your taste buds.
I have mentioned it a few times on this forum, my MD used to tell me to cut back on my egg consumption and even then only eat the whites... he is 11 years younger than I ... had a Heart Attack... my blood work over the years has been average/normal and I have never changed my diet.
Last time I saw him he asked me if I changed my diet and I told him that I had... I no longer have my own Chickens so I have to eat Store bought eggs but I am trying to cut back to 12 Beers a day (logistics... It is just more convenient to evenly divide the 24 pack).
My blood work is still average/normal and when he mentioned mine was better than his, I offered my advice ... Eat more eggs, cook them in Lard eat more Meat and only drink Cold Beer.
