Someone without an elementary school education could believe it without being a wacko.

Evidently a majority of scientists believe in AWG. Are those people who disagree wackos?

I said absolutely nothing about AGW (Anthropogenic Global Warming).

Please don't muddy the waters by introducing an extraneous, irrelevant topic.

My feeling is that anyone advancing an outlying theory or unpopular belief which - on the face of it - appears ludicrous, should first recapitulate and debunk the accepted theory - before advancing his own "pet" theory. That way, he can at least first demonstrate that he isn't "talking out of his hat" - that he has an understanding of the accepted theory, but sees beyond it.

The way this has been presented in the media and/or by Mr. Carson, it sounds like he never even considered that the pyramids were around long before Joseph, that they are 95% solid stone, that they each took decades to build, etc. - and that a contrary position would only invite ridicule.

Regards,
