I installed the software last evening and will try out the free version for now.... till the sale : )
ok, read my last post to sparklite as it has some tips in it you will need to know-
it’s pretty basic really, just make sure to turn off auto snapshots (it will take a snapshot every time you turn the computer on- to check if it’s taking autosnapshots, open the program, click on ‘rollback system’ and check if any of the snapshots say “Scheduled snapshot” if so you’ll have to find out where to turn them off or change when they happen to ‘only once’)
Note: You can reestablish the autosnapshot after you get full program- but you;ll just have ot manually delete the ‘scheduled snapshots’ about once a month or so to prevent it filling up your hard-drive too much
The peace of mind this programs gives is really worth it’s weight in gold
Along with Norton’s internet security and Mcaffee site advisor, to prevent viruses on the fly, the rollback is the final line of defense incase one virus should get through somehow- I usually do a rollback whenever nortons even flags and blocks a virus- just to be absolutely sure nothing got through
And I do a rollback every two weeks or so just to clear out the junk that cruising the internet causes- like tracking cookies, any possible malware, etc-
