If I structured my day around not scaring the cat, we’d die of starvation within a month. Everything freaks him out, especially shopping bags. I’m on crutches after foot surgery a couple days ago. As soon as I pick up a crutch, he becomes a cucumber-cat with eyes the size of golf balls and takes off in sheer terror. Sorry, animal kooks. I’m the boss and the cat better get used to it — one of these years.
