Our girls VB team took the state championship last night. As usual the whole town turns out complete with fire trucks to meet them at the town limit and escort the team bus to the school. Siren blaring and cars honking......it was quite a parade late last night.

20 degrees this morning. I broke out my winter coat.

My car screamed for more air in the tires.

The Jayhawkers deserve to lose. They murdered my great, great, great grandfather and his son in front of the women of the family and marched the women to a Jayhawker prison in the original Border War between Kansas and MO. It’s really just an example of Northern Aggression that allows KU to use that dreadful name. My great great grandmother was still talking about the sight of their blood running down the stone chimney of the cabin while the roofs of their farm and all the surrounding buildings were ablaze in flames when my mother was a little child in 1919. It was insuperable.

I got carried away with family history, or I would have remembered to say “insuperable Northern aggression”! LOL.

AHA! My daughter in Clifton Park was smug yesterday by claiming that our snow wasn’t coming to NY. We only got about 3-4 inches, but it snowed for 24 hours straight. Paul Ryan’s home town got 11.5 in., as did Chicago. It’s also very cold, and I haven’t found my non-slip shoes yet.

I had my well chlorinated this AM and I cannot use the water for 24 hours. They built McMansions all around me in the last 15 years on what had previously been farm fields and changed my water. Oh, my goodness. The chunks of iron that they knocked loose this morning.

At least I don’t have that nasty iron bacteria, which is a relief.

s that your Town Hall, or court House? Pretty.

The pair of them are buried in one grave in MO, and their story is a county legend down there. It’s interesting because most history books portray the jayhawkers as t good guys fighting for right and the American Way and that they never did anything like that. The whole family left MO during and after the War Between the States so I was surprised that anyone there remembers this incident. It is still referred to by the locals as “the murder of the Longacres, father and son”. Most of the family moved west and to New Mexico.

It got down to 29 last night, but only for a few hours-it is 59 and sunny now...

In spite of frantic efforts
By all Hillary’s minions
They’re not too effective
At changing many opinions

Her trust ratio is dismal
Along with insuperable lies
She doesn’t seem so honest
No matter how hard she tries

Most of us remember how she
Lied non-stop to enable Bill-
Obfuscation and dishonesty are
Hillary’s most notable skill...
