‘Woe Be on Them’: Trump Campaign Lawyer Issues Warning to the RNC

An aide from the Donald Trump presidential campaign warned the Republican National Committee Tuesday against GOP donors pooling funds to coalesce his rivals against him, suggesting that Trump would reverse his pledge not to launch a third-party candidacy if he felt he was being treated unfairly.

Michael Cohen, who serves as special counsel to the billionaire Republican candidate, told CNN’s Chris Cuomo that it would be a "bad, bad decision" for super PACs to unite against Trump’s candidacy.

"Donald Trump wants to be treated fairly," Cohen said sternly. "He will demand the GOP treat him fairly."

Cohen's comments came a day after Trump tweeted frustrations with the the Republican Party over former GOP strategist Liz Mair's proposed efforts to "defeat and destroy" the real estate celebrity's presidential bid.

"If they treat him fairly, he will honor the pledge because he’s an honorable guy," Cohen told Cuomo. "If they break that agreement with him, as they say, 'woe be on them.'"

Why is it okay for Trump to attack Jeb, Rubio, Carly, Carson, Kasich, etc., but no one can attack him?

I don't get it.

Like the mainstream press, the GOPe just does not get it.

The more they attack Trump, the stronger he gets.

It’s in the rules. The GOPe cannot attack Trump.

If they do then he will expose them.

Trump is the alpha male. He attacks and wins over the weaker members you mentioned.

They get around that by being in collusion with the super-pacs.

I agree completely.

They just don’t get it.

The GOP sold out to globalists. The Democrats sold out to globalists. Everyone sold out to globalists.

Only Trump is saying, it is time to be for America once again.

If Hillary get’s elected it will be followed by a civil war and the destruction of the current day “Whig” party ie. the GOPe.

I agree. That's why it is so important that we get more true conservatives elected, starting with the POTUS/VPOTUS in 2016. Hillary is not a uniter much less a leader. She is a divider and a follower like Obama. Therefore look for each state to decide if they want another 4 years of the same old failed liberal policies of the last 8 years. If we do not have a Reagan-like conservative revolution, likely there will be a Convention of States. Barring that, we are again faced with a civil war as George Washington predicted.

The sweet part is that Trump is the one that knows America is not happy.

He blames the media and started his campaign that way.

Here we come with Kasich out of Ohio pretending it is a bad thing.

Trump called them out of their web and the spiders are having a hard time to call home.

Ditto. I too think they do want Hillary, and with Trump they lose their jobs. He is the end of the GOP as “they” have enjoyed it.

I just don’t have an answer about a Third Party, but I think we all know the GOP has to be broken. They are nothing but a conduit for big money, big globalists, the Cheap Labor Express, and so on and so on. Without Trump, they stay that way.

At least in a Third Party we might have a home where we’re comfortable and welcome, and actually in the company of some modicum of principles again and more like minded compadres.

The liberals never seem to bloody their own, but the republicans always do damage to each other. It’s the way it is...and this time it will be extremely bloody. Like a jerk like Kasich who doesn’t stand a chance in hell of winning...comes out with an ad full of lies & with the sole intention of bringing down Trump...disgusting.

The kids came in late for Thanksgiving! All are in bed, nice and quiet and happy. I didn’t realize how late it was. Thanks for the reminder. See you all later. Burn the garbage, and put out the fires for me. :D Rita

I agree. Bush’s anti-Trump ad was an embarrassing flop and his numbers went further down afterwards.

Trump simply represents people, meaning he says things that people are thinking and wishing.

Many feel there’s no hope, that the system is so corrupt that there are no means to find true representation. Along comes Trump to address those concerns and suddenly the American spirit is on fire.

To be honest with that post, they have nothing to bloody.

Hillary has been their candidate since 2008.

She got beat by a Muslim Half-black Jew. That is rough.

The GOPe would rather see Cankles win than have a President Trump.
