There are credible examples of dry runs being performed on flights, but this story sounds specious. A giant Texan yells “I’ve got your back” to our “hero”, while he grabs another passenger. C’mon.

If you had actually READ this before posting, you may have reached same conclusion, but might have been better to have noted it was fiction.
We DO have a serious problem on our hands with the muslims made worse through nobama’s efforts, but being misled by very questionable information does not assist our efforts well.

Read it again. For what reason? AirTran Flight 297, from Atlanta to Houston was in 2009. Air Tran no longer exists. This is not a recent incident.
