It was in August that Disney CEO Bob Iger warned that ESPN suffered "some subscriber losses," but a regulatory filing late Wednesday indicates a fairly hefty number: 7 million subscribers in two years.
Disney disclosed that its most profitable TV asset has 92 million subscribers, down from 95 million a year ago and down from 99 million the year before that.

Disney Channel is unwatchable bilge.
The entire cable channel industry is on the decline. We cut all TV channels and only watch what we want on Netflix and Hulu over the Internet.
The one thing they did run that I didn’t hear about until after it had gone was The Middleman.

Doubtless there are lots of reasons; the rise of computer gaming, time taken up by social media, a general move away from TV as entertainment, and, of course, competing viewing modes like Hulu. But a couple of reasons why there is no TV in my house are: I don’t want to give money or viewing to liberals, what’s presented is generally not worth my time, there’s liberal propaganda in most programming.
No cable tv since 2007. Haven’t missed it.

Quality of life has improved. The money I'm saving each month will pay for going to one movie a week, two hardcover books, two museum admissions, or a course or one year of a quality TV show on sale. etc
TV is too violent, too preachy about new cultural and social PC stuff, there are too many commercials, and with all the networks writing talent is spread too thin.
We still have TV but it’s off most of the time. When I do watch, it’s streaming. Netflix, Hulu, etc.
As to the article, I wonder if ESPN counts separately those who watch via things like Sling, or if that’s folded into their cable numbers.
Sling is on the right path, but not quite there-they’re still bundling channels into their packages that we aren’t interested in.
The channel is PC unwatchable. I put on old bugs bunny dvds for the kids instead. They love it!
Never had cable. My daughter installed Netflex for me against my protests. Mama was wrong on that one. I love my Netflex!
I just watch football and NASCAR. With Gorden retiring, next year just football. Most of my news is OAN on Fire TV and Internet. Time to cut the cable I think.
I think the Disney channel gives a horrible message for young children — the kids on their shows are disrepectable, overly sexualised and care about fashion and looks more than anything else
Hollywood, schools, government, all pillars of our society, are worshiping at the altar of Diversity. And when you try to please everyone you wind up pleasing no one.
Is OAN a subscription channel via FireTV?
Both CBS and Sky News have free channels we can pick up thru Roku but I’d prefer more options and I think OAN is subscription-based, at least with our setup.
