Has anyone here used it in the context of drawing, such as replacement for charcoal or graphite sketching?
I did. I am a designer in fact, and a with program called Procreate, among others, it is nearly identical to sketching with those media. Plus you can have unlimited layers for complexity. The only difference to get used to is the backlit screen, which is not "paper like", but that is true of all devices.
