UPDATE: Sinead O'Connor is reportedly "safe and sound" and receiving medical assistance, according to Irish police.
A distressing update appeared on Sinead O'Connor's Facebook page on Sunday (Nov. 29). The status, which comes from her verified Facebook page and appears to have been written by the singer-songwriter, includes the sentence, "I have taken an overdose" and reads like a possible suicide note. She added she is staying at a hotel room in Ireland under a different name.
Over the past 24 hours, there have been a series of disturbing posts on her Facebook, stemming from a battle with Irish folk musician Donal Lunny, the father of her youngest son, Shane, whom the singer alleges needs psychological treatment and Lunny won’t allow her to see him.

Horrible person with a beautiful voice, but very hate filled and miserable and we should pray for her.
It’s easy to kick em while they’re down. Hope she finds peace.
Hope she survives and gets help, regardless of who she is. Sometimes a confluence of medical and social issues assault the psyche all at once, making one just want to hit the off switch.
We may not like what she has done with her talents, but she does have them and has used them as she sees fit - just as we all should seek to.
She was apparently misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder and spent several years on heavy psych drugs which may have done permanent damage.
Some folks on Facebook never see anything at all to do with Sinead.
If Sinead shows up in your feed, it means you liked something by Sinead.
It kind of works like that.
I remember a skit on SNL where Phil Hartman, as Frank Sinatra, was chairing a discussion of "The Sinatra Group." One of the panelists was a cast member portraying Sinead O'Connor, who Hartman addressed as "Uncle Fester."
She needs Jesus.

Actually, BXVI was finally attacking corruption in Ireland, which meant getting rid of some liberal bishops (whom she apparently liked). She hated him because he was orthodox and actually cared - and this reminded her of what she had rejected in order to become the darling of the left.
Still, many prayers for her. She may yet end up a Carmelite. Stranger things have happened.
