Too bad he couldn’t overcome it. I was always hoping for an STP comeback an be like the old days again. STP was at the top of the hard rock heap there for a while.
That was the joke on an episode of Beavis and Butt-head, where they’re watching an STP video and Beavis says “what the hell did Eddie Vedder do to his hair?”
STP had a lot of range, they covered different styles.

In short, I think they suck. I was trying to be nice for the misguided souls who actually like crap like this, given all the truly great music out there.

Don’t get mad at me cause you don’t have a clue what good music is. You’re probably too dumb and unsophisticated to know the difference.
RE: I had no idea what songs they did, not liking much of anything since the 80s. So I just gave a listen. As expected, I didn’t really care for it. To me, they sounded very similar to Hooty and the Blowfish, who’s music I could also live without.
I just listened again and now realize their style of music is not very much like Hootie and the Blowfish’s, who I’m not much familiar with either. What I should have said, knowing what I know now, is that the lead singer’s voice, IMO, sounds a little like the lead singer’s of HATBF, at least on this song...
