I moved to San Diego in December, 1965, and left Kali-Fornia the final time and for good in 2004.
San Bernardino was always referred to as “San Berdo” during those years.
I never heard it called “Berdo.”
No, it was never called “Berdo,” but if you’ll follow the conversation of this thread you will see that someone tried to correct me, saying it was San “Berdoo”, not San “Berdo,” and I was replying that I remembered it as “Berdo,” not “Berdoo.” Sheesh.
Now I recall why it’s been so long.
