I run 2 pcs on Win 8.1 and have never seen the upgrade nag screen on either one.

Maybe they're not compatible with Windows 10. What are their specs?

I’ve never understood WHY MS is giving this update away.

Nor, WHY it is SO INSISTENT that everyone accept the free giveaway.
