Hillary Clinton may be planning to close a lot of schools. At a town hall event today in Keota, Iowa, Clinton said she would keep open "better than average" schools. "This school district and these schools throughout Iowa are doing a better than average job," Clinton told the crowd. "Now, I wouldn't keep any school open that wasn't doing a better than average job. If a school's not doing a good job, then you know it may not be good for the kids. "But when you have a district that's doing a good job it seems kind of counterproductive to impose financial burdens on it."

I guess that means that all of the schools named after Barack Hussein 0bama will be closing.

By definition, that means half would close.

Let's look at this logically. If you shut down less than average schools, then the average will rise, continuously resulting in more schools being shut down.
The end result will be only one school left open in the entire country. Then that one school will be the average.
Well, that won’t work - because she is only keeping the BETTER than average schools. So all the average schools will be forced to shut down.
You know - it would be a lot easier, and more fair, if all of the kids were round up and sent to one big huge federal education center.
Clearly the school that educated her didn’t do a better than average job.

I think her statement is racist. Willing to bet that these good Iowa schools are more “lily white” than black or brown.
Guess she’s going to throw the minority kids into substandard schools, like those the Democrats have kept minority children in for decades. Why, that’s no policy change at all.

Following this approach would eventually shut down ALL schools because “average” is relative to the actual performance of all schools.
Unless, of course, new schools were being opened as fast or faster than below average ones were being shut down.
What she really means is that any school that does not do a good job of brainwashing children with liberal dogma will be shut down.
I hope Trump is listening. He can tell parents all across this nation that Hillary is going to close their schools by executive fiat. Independent school districts should take notice. Hillary is your daddy.
You are confusing mean (average) with median.
But generally, yeah.
You are not accounting for new schools.
That must be part of the plan because I do not see her or any liberals wanting to decrease the size, influence, or cost of public schools.

True but with the large base, the mean and median should be close.
So the schools in Lake Woebegone are definitely safe from closing.
