As many people lament the lack of good quarterback play in the NFL, I contend that we have never had as many quality signal callers in the league at a given time. There are three certain Hall of Fame QBs (Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees), as well as at least two more likely Hall of Famers (Aaron Rodgers and Ben Roethlisberger), along with another who's got a real shot (Eli Manning) and a prodigy who -- despite his troubles this season -- likely will wind up in Canton someday (Andrew Luck).
Having said that, it's also true that on any given weekend, there simply aren't 32 people walking the face of the Earth who can play quarterback effectively in the NFL. And the proof of that is evident, as well: Just this past week, people were trying to win games with the likes of Jimmy Clausen, Blaine Gabbert, Zach Mettenberger, Case Keenum, Kellen Moore and Brandon Weeden.

Athletes. Used to be cerebral with an arm. The sure fire ones have been around and in that school. Now theres the added dimension or running.
I think theyâll find a way to keep rapist Ben out of the hall.

Interesting that you tout believing in the “absolute truth” on your website yet post a totally slanderous lie on FR. You really should start reading all those reference books on your site. That would help.
A guy gets accused of rape and it is only right to assume his innocence . . . it is the American standard of fairness. He was accused twice. That tends to remove any doubt as to his morality. Hey, Michael Jackson was accused twice of rape but never “charged or convicted” . . . could you tout your high standard of “absolute truth” in his case?
Oh, I see you are from the Pittsburgh area . . . looks like it is a case of me touching one of the sports’ gods anointed. It is not good to sully a high priest of America’s true religion - sports.
Somehow I lost half of my post above . . . Michael Jackson was accused twice of rape but was never convicted . . . is he also innocent according to your standard which I seem to have violated?
If Brady loses MVP this year it’s a total sham.
Liberal guilt ridden media simply yearning for the black QB. If anything Wilson is more deserving to be in convo
Brady 4400 35 6 64.3 103.8
Newton 3400 33 10 58.8 98.8
Wilson 3500 29 7 68.8 111.3
Not even close.
Thank you, friend!
Come on. Bringing Michael Jackson into the discussion. What next, Jack the Ripper. Ben R was accused by a promiscuous little skank who wanted some money out of it. She never accused him of rape. She had a tee shirt on that night that said something like - I like to XXXXXX... fill in the blanks. There was never a firt rape accusation let alone a second. Big Ben was single, drinking, and doing what millions of the young do every weekend but he had a big pocketful of money for a Democrat trial lawyer to grab. Get real my friend.
Moths that fly too close to the flame often get burned . . . and in this case, lose the respect of people that did not find it difficult to live a moral life. I suppose that is why Tim Tebow is so greatly despised by so many - he didn’t have Ben’s fever for fatal attractions.
If he isn’t a rapist, he surely is a fool.
I suppose the football hall of fame is filled with lots of fools . . . wife beaters, steroid users, etc. What will one more matter.
Well, I am happy for you that you are virtually perfect and don’t sin. We should all be like that. I chose to forgive a young indiscretion moreso than an older one. So in any case enjoy your Christmas as we will chose to politely disagree and go our ways.
can't stand big creepy ben either...
hope Carolina looses the rest of the way..
but he “settled” didn’t he?...I think he did..
Well, the remainder of the games need to be played out and he may very well lose. I’m sorry you feel the way you do about him personally. I am from Auburn and my sources tell me that in his major he did not receive any special treatment. He attended classes and turned in projects like all the other students. He worked on group assignments like the others. He went to study groups, in essence, he pulled his own weight. After his year at Auburn, he returned during the off-season to continue his studies and receive his degree. He did not walk at Commencement however because he didn’t want a media furor to disrupt the celebrations of other graduates and their families. At least, that was the reason given.
So, who is right and who is wrong? I don’t know for sure as I was not in the immediate vicinity. I choose to think he didn’t receive special treatment.
Russell Wilson’s passing game picked up with the SeaHawks, with the exception of the Vikings, playing some weak teams.
Seattle having no running game bit them today with the loss to a bad Rams team, who do seem to have their number. The game next week at Arizona should be good. Will Seattle play their best game of the year and beat the hottest team in football, or lose for the second time this year to them. Game could go either way. If Seattle makes it back to the SB it’ll be on the road. They’ve played their last game in Seattle till next year.
Meanwhile, Brandon Weeden is leading his team to the playoffs......BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Cardinals are looking scary good right now.
Newtons a disgusting show boating punk. Wish he lived in the era of Butkus, Nobis, and Nitschke and tried those stunts.
and the nfl has its rules too...its the "steelers rules" or the "seahawk rules" and they'll come up with the "cam" rules just to get him to the superbowl....
Who’s that babe? And can I find that footage on YT?
