Erickson is the late afternoon host at WSB in Atlanta, which became Rush’s affiliate in that city less than two years ago. WSB is a powerhouse and it helps Rush achieve tremendous ratings in the city. After losing some key affiliates in other cities (KFI in Los Angeles, for one), Rush wants to hang on to stations that are dominant in their markets.
By inviting Erickson, Rush is throwing a bone to WSB and its owner, Cox Communications. Cox also owns Rush affiliates in places like Jacksonville and Dayton that also have strong ratings.
I actually liked his show better when he came on after Hannity. There were fewer interruptions and he did a better job of making his points. The "promotion" to afternoon host means he has to keep stopping every couple of minutes to let them break in with traffic reports. So it wasn't a very enjoyable show even before I stopped listening. That said, Herman Cain is also a WSB host who could do quite nicely if Rush needed to throw them a bone.

Wow! Seems like Rush is willing to sell his values just like McConnell, Boehner, Ryan, and the other member of the GOPe.
I really miss Rush. I hate that he lost KFI. I can hear him on two stations where I am but poorly both. So I usually don’t. I miss him.
